Ambrosine Davies delivers a strong performance in LA Baby as part of the Edinburgh Fringe with an intriguing performance.
⭐⭐⭐

Ambrosine Davies arrives in LA full of comedy aspirations but leaves with absurd stories and survival skills. This show has a huge amount of twists that kept me on the edge of my seat.
Davies delivers a well acted and honest performance with plenty of peaks and valleys. The opening scene is particularly strong; funny, sharp, and full of promise. It immediately pulls the audience in.
However, the momentum dips slightly afterwards. The show would benefit from a clearer sense of purpose early on. We need to know why we’re here and why this story matters. A stronger narrative hook or framing device at the start could really elevate the entire piece.
The script is close, but a few minor rewrites could tighten pacing and clarify key themes. There’s a lot of potential here, and just a bit of refining could make the message hit harder.
